U12 Red Deer Training Camp

Canyon Ski Resort, Red Deer, AB

Camp Focus:

This camp is designed to continue the strong start that athletes have established this ski season. The training day will consist of slalom courses as well as structured (drill and technical) skiing. The focus will still be on balance, platform, and movement concepts to continue to rebuild the important foundation and technical skills required at the U12 level.

Eligibility:

SVR U12 athletes who are intermediate to advanced skiers. Athletes must be competent at riding chairlifts and T-bar by themselves and should be able to keep up with peers at their age level. Please review the disclaimer* below.

Equipment:

SL skis will be required. All athletes should also have a backpack with a healthy lunch, lots of snacks, and plenty of water.

The sign-up deadline is Tuesday, December 16, 2025 @ 11:59 pm.

*Disclaimer: For all Entry Level and U12 camps/races, we provide a specific number of coaches based on the assumption that athletes have the minimum technical ability to ski blue and black runs safely. If an athlete is unable to keep up with their peers, they may be moved to ski with a different group. If there is an issue with athlete ability or behavior, parents are required to be on standby to assist coaches on snow. In some circumstances (and at the discretion of the Head Coach), an athlete may no longer be permitted to participate further in the camp/race. In these instances, parents are required to accept that their athlete has been removed from further participation and a credit will be provided for the days the athlete will no longer be attending.
