2025/26 TAWATINAW ON SNOW OPEN CAMP
Nordiq Alberta is proud to host the Tawatinaw On-Snow Open Camp. This camp is open to the entire province and cross-country ski community. The camp will be held Friday January 9 to Sunday January 11.
Camp Objectives:
This camp is designed to provide athletes at all levels training and learning opportunities in a group and team atmosphere. The camp is on-snow with an emphasis on ski training, agility on skis, basic technique skills, speed and endurance.

- Team Building / Meeting skiers outside of your club
- Fun on skis.
- Technique, agility and speed on skis

Camp Information
Participants have the option to join for the entire weekend or just for Saturday, December 6th. Please choose your registration option appropriately:
Option 1 - Friday (January 9) to Sunday (January 11)
Registration cost: $260
Includes:
- Meals from dinner Friday to lunch Sunday (check-in is 5 p.m. Friday, and checkout is 12:30 p.m. Sunday)
- Accommodation at the Pine Valley Resort for 2 nights (Friday and Saturday night)
- Coaching for the weekend from provincial coach (Ivan Babikov) and other guest coaches
Option 2 - Saturday (January 10)
Registration cost: $90
Includes:
- Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner on Saturday
- Coaching for the weekend from provincial coach (Ivan Babikov) and other guest coaches
A schedule, packing list, and detailed information regarding the camp will be emailed to all registrants closer to the date of the camp.
Please note camp registration fee does NOT include transportation. It is highly encouraged to carpool with other families from your club.
Parents:
We encourage parents to join the camp as well! Rather than dropping off your kids, register for the camp and have a family weekend together. Any child under 12 years of age is required to come with an adult to the camp.
Coaches/Volunteers:
If you are interested in joining the camp as an assistant coach or a volunteer, please reach out to info@nordiqalberta.ca. If you are selected as an assistant coach/volunteer for the weekend, your registration costs will be covered.
Trail Pass:
It is required for all participants of the camp to purchase a trail pass for Tawatinaw Valley cross country ski trails prior to the beginning of camp. Please purchase yours here: https://www.tawatinawvalley.ca/xc-indi-waver .
Registration:
Participants must register online no later than January 2, 2025 at 11:59pm MT.
Packing List
- Bedding - Sheets, Sleeping bags, pillows, etc
- Bathroom kit with toiletries (toothbrush, soap, shampoo etc.) and a towel
- Cross Country skis, boots, and poles- Classic and Skate if you have them
- Clothing that is training appropriate for all weather conditions (I.e. warm or cold weather or rain)
- Trail runners and or running shoes or hiking boots
- Water bottle/Water belt & carrier
Optional:
- Heart rate monitor
- Snacks (Meals are provided within your registration but it is recommended to bring any snacks that you’ll want for the duration of the camp)
