Camrose Camp

Nordiq Alberta is pleased to confirm the 2026 Camrose Development Ski Team Camp on:

Friday, August 7, 2026 - Sunday, August 9, 2026

Camp Objectives

The camp based program is designed to provide athletes training and learning opportunities in a group and team atmosphere. The camp is set in the summer with emphasis on team building and team dynamics. There will be distance workouts including ski walking training/striding at the downhill facility with the emphasis on being technically proficient.

Objectives:

• Team Building / What it means to be on a team
• Fun!
• Endurance Training – Long Easy Distance (volume)
• Technical work to be proficient in the movement skills
• Communication / Team dynamics

Location: Camrose, AB

Accommodation: Canadian Lutheran Bible Institute (4837 52a St, Camrose, AB T4V 1W5) *

*Note: Accommodation at CLBI is dorm style rooms. They are not wheelchair accessible.

Coaches & Staff: Ivan Babikov (Provincial Coach) & Rory Sumner (Program & Communications Manager)

Cost: $160. Cost includes accommodation, meals, but not transportation (please see below for transportation details). Cost will be paid via registration link below.

Transportation: Please note camp registration fee does NOT include transportation. It is highly encouraged to carpool with other families from your club. If you need help finding transportation, Nordiq Alberta would be happy to assist in facilitating this. Please email info@nordiqalberta.ca for transportation inquiries.

Registration: Athletes must register online no later than July 31, 2026 at 4:45 pm MST.

**We are looking for chaperones (female and male) to help with cooking and other various items for the camp. If you are interested in chaperoning please email the NA office at info@nordiqalberta.ca**

The camp PDF including camp schedule and packing list/checklist will be sent to registrants one week before the camp. Check-in time will be after 4pm on Friday, August 7, and pick-up time will be after Noon on Sunday, August 9.
