Annual Fall Invitational - Roller ski Competition

Biathlon - Sprint (zero at 10:00am, race start at 11:00am)

Cross-country - Interval start (race start 12:00pm)

Inline Skating – Mass Start (race start at 1:00pm

Otway Nordic Ski Centre, 8141 Otway Road, Prince George – Rain, Shine, or Snow

OBJECTIVES:

This is intended to be a low pressure, fun competition to allow athletes and coaches an opportunity to get ready for the winter competition season. Coaching on the range will be permitted with the objective of providing new athletes with a positive and safe experience. All range safety rules will apply.

·       9:40 Brief Team Captain’s meeting on the range

·       9:40 Rifle check opens

·       10:00 – 10:50 Zero

·       11:00 Biathlon Sprint, Interval start by category

·       12:00 Cross-country, Interval start by category

·       1:00 Inline Skating, Mass start

REGISTRATIONS:

On-line registration will open October 4th

Deadline for Registrations is 11.59 am Thursday, October 15 ^th

REGISTRATION BY NUMBER:

Please e-mail your team’s Registration by Number by October 15 ^th (estimate acceptable) to: biathlonsecretary@caledonianordic.com

ENTRY FEES:

Entry fees are $10, payable upon receipt of race bib. Please bring correct change to bib pick up on October 18th

ELIGIBILITY:

All biathlon competitors must be members of Biathlon BC for the current season. A valid membership number will be required on the entry form. A Recreational Class membership is acceptable for this event. Competitors who do not have a valid Biathlon BC membership will be required to purchase a Day Membership (available on-line at http://biathlonbc.ca/membership/membership-racing-categories/ ). Biathlon BC memberships can be purchased on-line through the same link.

OFFICIATING:

A minimum number of competition officials will be provided and coaches and visiting parents and race support staff will be encouraged to help with competition management (ex. rope pulling, start/finish, etc.). Penalty laps will be managed on the honour system. HAVE FUN :)
