*** ABOUT THESE SKI LESSONS ***

These lessons are for kids 5-6 years old (kindergarden and grade 1's). We will consider 4 yr old kids on a case-by-case basis.

The lessons will start in December, once we can ski at Confederation Golf Course, from 17:30-18:45. The lessons will go on until mid-March, snow permitting.

If the weather at 6:00 pm is forecasted to be at or below -18 Celsius (including Windchill), the lesson will be cancelled. We will check the weather at 1 pm on the day of the lessons, on https://www.theweathernetwork.com/ca/hourly-weather-forecast/alberta/calgary

We will have Natalie Thain and Alex Shipevoy as our group instructors. The lessons will be based around games and feeling comfortable / having fun outside & on skis.

Equipment - Ski poles are completely optional for kids 5-6 years of age. What your child will need: WARM, and ideally waterproof pants, jacket and mitts, proper classic skis with ski boots and bindings, and warm wool socks. A well-fitting hat/toque is also a must.

To piggyback off our club insurance, we are setting up this registration as part of Space Dogs Ski Club. Please note that instructors do not have First Aid, and generally, it is the parent's responsibility that the child is adequately dressed, warm, and prepared for the ski lesson.

Lessons will occur at the Confederation Golf Course, in a designated, kid-friendly area.

The total cost for the lessons is $250 per child, for the entire winter season. Confederation Grooming Fees of $30 and Nordiq Canada / Nordiq Alberta's $24 fees are included in the registration price.
