CCSAM High Performance Program
2013 Spring Camp
June 1 & 2, 2013
Locations: Woodhaven Community Centre & Sport For Life Centre, Winnipeg (see itinerary below)
Eligibility: Open to all athletes currently registered in the 2013-2014 CCSAM High Performance Program and members of a CCSAM ski club.
Note: This program is for athletes in the Train to Train through Train to Win stages of development.
Train to Train athletes are typically at least 12 years of age (for boys) or 11 years of age (for girls) and racing in the Midget category.
Athletes and parents should consult with their club coach to discuss whether or not registration in the CCSAM HP Program is appropriate.
This program is not for beginners but for athletes who have raced at least 1 full season and are committed to an annual training & competition plan managed by a personal &/or club coach.

General Itinerary:
9:00am - 4:00pm Sat Jun 1 : Classroom sessions, run/bike & outdoor games at Woodhaven Community Centre 200 Glendale Blvd. Winnipeg

Sport For Life Centre
145 Pacific Ave. Winnipeg - older athletes Functional Movement Screens (FMS)

Sport For Life Centre - younger athletes FMS.
Groups to be based on camp registrants. YOU WILL BE ASSIGNED TO A GROUP ON SATURDAY.
Following FMS - carpooling to Birds Hill Park for long hike on ski trails and finish of camp.
Estimated finish time on Sunday is 3:30pm
If you have an injury please talk to your coach about going in the bike group.
Training will be a longish run on Saturday and a bike ride. Other activities Saturday will be group games e.g. ultimate, soccer
What to Bring:
- Heart rate monitor (if you own one)
- Workout clothing appropriate for all weather conditions
- Dry clothes for classroom sessions
- Running shoes
- Water bottles
- Bag lunch for both days (some snacks provided)
- Sun glasses and sun screen
- Notebook & pen/pencil
- Questions about summer dryland training
- Bike & bike helmet
- Hill running ski poles (not longer than armpit height - old poles are best)
- Yoga mat
Cost: $25.00 for athletes. $0 for club coaches.
