Try our fun NordicFit Class.  We will do "Dryland training" that includes strength circuits, plyometrics, stretching, adventure running,ski walking and on snow skiing.

No cross country ski experience required but you will require your own or rented equipment ie: Xc ski's, boots and poles.

Classes are held outdoors Thursdays 5pm-6:15 from October 30th - November 29th 2014.

* Canmore Trip dates are Sat 1st, 15th and 29th November). These Saturday classes are additional to the week day class. (coaching included within the course price, however, transportation and hiring of any personal equipment is not) .

Who :  For ages 10 to 18.
Fee : $65

Price goes up to $85 after October 1st.
Where : Locations will vary between the Greater Bragg Creek area and Canmore. Classes will be held outdoors, rain or shine.

Required equipment : Running shoes, suitable clothing for the weather, water bottle. Ski Poles that fit under your arm pitt/with wist straps.(The older and "less fancy" the poles, the better);
Recommended optional equipment :  Yaktraks, or other suitable footwear for icy conditions, an old towel.

For reasons of safety and liability we will require that ALL people (adults and children) participating in any group activity become members of XCBC.

For all children and adults who are already XCBC members for the 2014 season you do not need to pay this fee again.

The club is built on the beliefs that; every child can learn to ride/ski skillfully (technical proficiency); riding/skiing fast is fun (physical fitness); riding/skiing is challenging (personal development). The big objectives are around creating a positive experience where kids can become skilled cross country riders and skiers and eventually handle any of our local terrain.
