Built 4 Speed Event - Freestyle Event for Track Attack and older - Jackrabbits -classic loop.

Development focus event hosted by XC Bragg Creek (XCBC).   Registration categories are at the discretion of club coaches.  The intent is to provide a race experience for kids getting started with cross country skiing and racing and provide an opportunity for young seasoned racers as well.  It is open to all CCC clubs. Cross Country Alberta is a proud supporter of the B4S - Southern Alberta series.

All clubs can participate in this event series.

Age range 5 years - 105. However race courses and distances are oriented to Jackrabbits -14 year olds.

Group A) development (for kids who are in their first year or two of racing)
Group B) been at it awhile (for kids who have been racing for 3+ years)

Race location - West Bragg Creek

There are pit toilets in the parking lot, no heated buildings. Bring lots of layers. There is no cell phone service. We will have a satellite radio on site. Hot Chocolate, cookies, fruit and bottled water provided. Parking is tight in this area, please arrive early and allow yourself lots of time to find the location. Race courses are not next to the trailhead. The races will be held at the intersection of East Crystal and Sundog.

What to bring: ski equipment, bag lunch, change of clothes, extra clothes.

9:00 – coaches meeting

10:30 – Freestyle events (TA, L2T & open categories classic east crystal)

At the same time this is happening, JR will do a shorter classic loop

12:30 – lunch (bring your bag lunch) & JR awards

Terrain park will be open for some fun and remain open for the afternoon. Use at your own risk

1:30 – team relay event (loop at top of Sundog Hill)

3:00-3:30 - TA and L2T awards
