Event Overview
The usual double-header loppet event in the northwest has been changed to a one day event in Ile-a-la Crosse only! Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Buffalo Narrows event that was previously planned for Saturday, March 12th will not occur this year. The loppet on March 13th in Ile-a-la Crosse will go ahead as planned, giving participants a splendid variety of skiing through finely groomed Boreal Forest trails. The event will include during ski support (fires, hot drinks and food), draw prizes and tons of fun. Don't be dismayed by the event being cancelled in Buffalo Narrows...you can still travel up and check out their amazing trails on the Saturday, you just won't be eating hot farmer's sausage while you do it!
For travelers, there is a hotel and suites for rent in Ile-a-la Crosse as well as a number of accommodation options in Buffalo Narrows and the communities are just a 45 minute drive apart. Load up a vehicle with friends and come see what the North has to offer. We look forward to seeing lots new faces and familiar ones as well!
Covid-19 precautions such as masking when entering the ski chalet will be strongly encouraged.
