Biathlon Manitoba MB Cup #10

Saturday March 7, 2020 - Super Sprint

Athletes will ski 5 loops and shoot 4 times. They will be permitted one spare round per shooting bout in they event they miss a target. A penalty loop applies for each additional missed target.

15 years and old will complete 5 x Purple.

Under 15 will complete 5 x Black

Biathlon races are open to all athletes ages 11 and up wanting to compete in a biathlon event.

Those new to the sport should register in the developmental categories which will see them shooting on larger targets with more relaxed shooting rules. These competitors will only shoot from the prone position (laying down) and will be permitted to use a rest to stabilize the rifle during shooting.

Athletes not having their own rifle can elect to pay $10 per day of racing and have a rifle and ammunition provided to them during the race. Those using the general pool rifles shoot in the developmental categories.

ELIGIBILITY ::

All participants must be a member of Biathlon Canada or must purchase a one-day license for a fee of $5. This one day license can be purchased on the registration page.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS ::

Saturday, March 7 , 2020 Super Sprint

  • 10:30 to 11:15 Bib Pick up
  • 11:15 Coach and athlete meeting
  • 12:00 - 12:45 Zeroing and pre-ski- Athletes are not permitted on the course until the Chief of Course has officially announced that the course is open for pre-ski.
  • 12:45 Range closes
  • 13:00 Race begins
  • Awards presentation at the range after the race (approx 14:15 p.m.)

REGISTRATION::

  • No onsite registration; must register online on Zone4 system.
  • Cost - $25/athlete which includes the $5 range improvement fee.
