The 2023 season is set to begin early June and run until the end of July unless otherwise notified by your Governor. Pending availability there may be specific clinics before and throughout the season for players.

You must register each player for the year that they were born in.  If your player is not registered in the appropriate age group they will be removed and a refund will be issued. The YKMF Board will not automatically re-register your player.

Families with young players in multiple divisions have indicated they would like to have games and practices on the same night. The YKMF will do there best to accommodate schedules with preference given to families with multiple players in more than one division. Please ensure you indicate on your registration which days of the week you would prefer. The YKMF will do its best to accommodate your request however cannot guarantee your request will be honoured if there are other requests (such as playing on a friend's team).

All Female Teams: There have been many requests for all female teams. The YKMF Board has included an option in the registration to choose and all -female team. If nothing is noted, it is assumed mixed.

Please note these teams will play against males. The development of these teams is highly dependent upon number of players and divisions may be merged to build a team. If your player is only interested in playing on an all female team and there are not enough registrants, you will receive a refund. Please note in your registration if there are specific requests.

Helmets will be mandatory and players are responsible for providing their own. Helmets can be purchased at Overlander, Canadian Tire or order online through United Cycle or Sport Chek. Unless registered in U5/U7, helmets must have a mask.

Pants are to be worn for players in U13 and above. Players are responsible for purchasing their own pants through Overlander, United Cycle or Sport Chek. Players are encouraged to purchase grey pants in any length or style.

Belts and Socks will be provided to all players U13 and above.

Jerseys and Hats will be provided for all divisions.

Coaching: the 2023 season will require lead and assistant coaches. Please consider volunteering. For players registered in U5 and U7, parents and/or guardians are required on the field so this is a great reason to coach.

Coaches will be required to submit a Vulnerable Sector Check. Please email ykmf.info@gmail.com to get the letter of support.
