Hey Parents,
Are you getting tired of the kids leaving you at the side of the trail because they are getting too fast, or taking you down runs that might be a bit extreme for your taste (it's only a matter of time U6/U8 parents)? We'd like to help you close the gap, even just a little bit, during Christmas Camp #2. The intent will be general ski improvement on terrain that participants are comfortable on.
Each day we will run a session in the morning and afternoon. Below you will see which type of skier the sessions are aimed at, and we will dial up/down the sessions based each group's ability and what they want to work on. There will be a nominal cost of $10 to cover the registration and processing fee, with any additional money going directly to the club. Please initially only register for a single session to allow more people to access the training. If there are spaces left a few days before the sessions, feel free to join us again.
Morning Session
Time: 9:15am to 11:15am
Meet: by the Coaches Shack
Skier Type: Happy at a leisurely pace on green and easy blue runs - think most of the terrain off Olympic and Silver chairs.
Goal: More confidence and control at a slightly faster speed. Maybe consider trying Gold chair at some point this season.
Afternoon Session
Time: 12:30pm to 2:30pm
Meet: by the Coaches Shack
Skier Type: Comfortable skiing any of the groomed runs off Gold chair at good pace.
Goal: Ski groomed runs faster and explore the bumps and glades.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Andrew Ross at amhross@gmail.com or approach him at the hill (he's the short guy with a florescent yellow Sweet Protection helmet).
