The Floppet: Falcon Lake Loppet Ski Race

Racer Kit Pick-Up opens 8 AM with staggered race starts beginning approx. 945 AM

The Falcon Sports Club in partnership with Falcon Ridge Ski Slopes hosts The Floppet in Falcon Lake, Manitoba.

• The Floppet offers classic or skate ski events in varied distances for family friendly and competitive skill levels
• Chariots and pulling devices for kids are welcome (but no pets are allowed in the race)
• Further Floppet details will be circulated via email in the week leading up to the races

Apres-ski Party

New this year, Falcon Sports Club will be hosting an Après-ski Party in the Floppet Village ft. live music by Tim & Sage of Shred Kelly (instead of the traditional Feast). No pre-purchased tickets necessary.

Indigenous Athletes

Falcon Sports Club is committed to taking action on Indigenous Reconciliation, specifically Calls to Action #88 + 90 from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. To help reduce barriers to sport, Falcon Sports Club has a limited number of reduced price registrations for folks who self identify as Indigenous. Media Consent

Any photographs or video productions taken of participants may be used by Falcon Sports Club or Falcon Ridge Ski Slopes for purposes of promotional material including brochures, posters, newsletters, media information, advertisements, audio-visual productions, web pages and social media. You can withdraw consent via email (falconsportclub@gmail.com).

Registration Notice

Refunds for cancellations or race distance downgrades due to personal or unforeseen circumstances will not be issued by Falcon Sports Club. If you withdraw, your spot will open up to an individual on the wait list. Registration changes may be accommodated upon request before February 26, 2026 via email (falconsportclub@gmail.com).

Cancellation Notice

The event may be subject to cancellation at the Board's discretion should the conditions be deemed unsafe. If the event is cancelled participants will be refunded for registration fees (less an administration fee).
