The Birch Open Skate Race is a sanctioned CCSAM cross-country ski race put on by the Ski Birch XC Ski Club

ELIGIBILITY ::

The Birch Open Skate Race is an unrestricted event for all skiers (i.e. anyone can enter the race)

EVENT FORMAT ::

Mass start (in waves), and skate technique (no classic tracks)

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS ::

• Mass start for kids at 12:10 and 12:25am
• Mass start for U14 and older at 1:00PM
• U10 (2015 YOB and earlier) at 12:10 - 1 km
• U12 (2013 & 2014 YOB) at 12:25 - 2 to 3 km
• 10K start at 1PM
• 5K - two waves - competitive at 1:01, fun wave at 1:02
• U14 and older can pick 5K or 10K - check with your coach if unsure on best distance for you.
• RACE MEETING AT 12:40 for all skiers in 5K or 10K races

REGISTRATION::

• No onsite registration; must register online on Zone4 system
• Online registration closes on Friday, January 19 at 10AM
