2026 Velo NB Club Affiliation Form

Affiliation

VNB clubs and teams are required to affiliate annually.

In order for a club to affiliate as a club they must have a minimum of 3 members. These members can include general members, officials, racing members or technical licenses (coach, organizer etc).

Insurance

Members of VNB are included under the insurance policy for VNB which includes Sport Accident and up to $10 million in Liability. In order for clubs to ensure participants are covered clubs must ensure all participants are members, must follow Provincial and Local regulations, adhere to Safe Sport and Risk Management policies and adhere to the information below.

All clubs are responsible for:

• Having an open membership
• Ensuring all members have sufficient insurance coverage to participate in club activities through the purchase of an Velo NB Membership for that calendar year
• Ensuring members have a Velo NB Membership (Community Membership, Competitive Membership, or UCI Licence) at all sanctioned club activities
• Ensuring members have a proper Velo NB Membership (Competitive Membership, or UCI Licence) for all sanctioned club competitions.
• Ensuring club members are aware of all policies and rules of the club and follow these rules
• Providing a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for members at both social activities, rides and club member events.
• Ensure that all coaches, club personnel, chaperones and volunteers adhere to the guidelines set by the Responsible Coaching Movement.
• Ensure that activities are following basic risk management procedures
• Ensuring all member waivers are available to the Velo NB

Link My Ride

Link My Ride is a pre-ride organizational platform designed for cyclists. It features a Club Portal where club leaders are able to create a ride with cycling specific details such as mapped routes, meeting locations, and other details. As well club leaders can create other "non-ride" events for training, and other activities.

Leaders can then invite the club members to all the rides created, create events that are open for all to participate in, or invite specific club members. Using this feature club leaders will have a better understanding of who is participating in their rides, or who is showing up for practice.

With permission, we can set up your club portal, and help you navigate the app as a club leader, and a user. We have a couple of questions for you regarding the app in this registration form. Additional Fees may apply.

Trail Coverage

Affiliated Clubs are eligible for purchasing additional coverage in our Insurance Plan that will assist them in coverage for their trail maintenance activities. If you’re club is active in this field, and would like more information in this program, please contact the Executive Director.
