Jasper Junior Olympics

Cost:

$325   - (Lift tickets for racers are not included . Racers are eligible for a 10% lift pass discount or show your Snow Valley seasons pass for a 20% discount.)

Where:

Marmot Basin Ski Area

1 Marmot Rd, Jasper, AB T0E 1E0

Eligibility:

All U6, U8, U10 and U12 athletes.

Equipment:

Race skis (bring both GS and SL skis if you have them) and a hard-ear helmet .

Volunteers:

Volunteers are both needed and appreciated. It takes a lot of work to run three simultaneous races on different parts of the mountain. Please sign up at: https://signup.com/go/WcNAvSQ .

Alberta Alpine Covid-19 Policy:

For U12 and younger Alberta Alpine sanctioned races: All coaches, officials, volunteers, and spectators inside the fence must be fully vaccinated or show proof in written or printed copy that indicates the individual has tested, within 72 hours of the event, a negative test for Covid19 (at the participants cost) on a Health Canada approved Rapid Antigen, Rapid PCR or lab-based PCR test approved by Health Canada or the lab accreditation body of jurisdiction to attend the event.

U12 (9-11 year olds) on Upper Dromedary

Saturday Format: 2 runs Giant Slalom on Upper Dromedary (best of two runs in AM, best of two runs PM)

Sunday Format: 1 timed run – JJO Shootout - Obstacle Multi Discipline (Upper Dromedary)

U9 (6-8 year olds) on Lower Dromedary

Saturday Format: 2 runs Giant Slalom on Lower Dromedary (best of two runs in AM, best of two runs PM)

Sunday Format: 1 timed run – JJO Shootout - Obstacle Multi Discipline (Lower Dromedary)

U6 (4-5 year olds) on School House (Sat) and Lower Dromedary (Sun)

Saturday Format: 2 fun runs on Schoolhouse (AM) and 2 fun runs on Schoolhouse (PM)

Sunday Format: 1 timed run – JJO Shootout - Obstacle Multi Discipline (Lower Dromedary)
