REPORT DE LA COUPE SKINOUK

Les différents modèles météorologiques annoncent des températures qui ne dépasseront pas -19°C samedi 24 janvier et -17°C dimanche 25 janvier avec des minimums en dessous de -20°C. Même si la température minimum de -20°C requise pour tenir des courses pour les catégories Maîtres à M16 pourrait être atteinte sur une partie de la journée, les trois quarts des participants de la Coupe Skinouk sont des skieurs des catégories M14 et plus jeunes qui ne peuvent participer à des compétitions à des températures sous -15°C selon les règles de Ski de Fond Québec. Afin d'assurer la meilleure organisation possible, le Comité organisateur de la Coupe Skinouk a décidé de déplacer toutes les courses le samedi 31 janvier.

COUPE SKINOUK POSTPONED

The various weather models are forecasting temperatures that will not exceed -19°C on Saturday, January 24, and -17°C on Sunday, January 25, with lows below -20°C. Even though the minimum temperature of -20°C required to hold races for the Masters to U16 categories could be reached for part of the day, three-quarters of the Coupe Skinouk participants are skiers in the U14 and younger categories, who cannot compete in temperatures below -15°C according to Ski de Fond Québec rules. In order to ensure the best possible organization, the Coupe Skinouk Organizing Committee has decided to move all races to Saturday, January 31.

Dear skiers,Club Skinouk extends a warm invitation to all skiers to compete at its 32th Coupe Skinouk.The event will take place on January 24th and 25th, 2026 at the Relais plein air du parc de la Gatineau, in Gatineau (Québec).The Coupe Skinouk is a Tier 2 race allowing U14 to master athletes to earn Canadian points.The Coupe Skinouk also serves as the Jeux du Quebec regional final and as the qualification races for Outaouais region at the 2026 Jeux du Québec provincial final in Québec.We look forward to welcoming athletes, coaches, officials, and their families. For any questions or comments please write to us at evenements@skinouk.ca
