2025 ABC Biathlon Training Camp

The Alberta Biathlon Club's annual Biathlon Training Camp , will take place in Hinton, AB from July 17th-20th. The camp is open to male and female athletes, ages 11 to 17 who are moving up from air rifle categories or in Calforex Senior Boys/Girls categories and up. The camp will be .22 Cal only, no air rifle. This camp will focus on the FUNdamentals of Biathlon.

Dates: July 17 5:00 to July 20th 14:00, (Thursday afternoon to Sunday afternoon)

Location: Hinton Nordic Center, AB. Camping onsite at Hinton Nordic Center or on your own in a hotel. This is a self supported camp ; parents are resposible for their athlete's meals and supervision outside of the training hours. Athlete dinner is provided Thursday evening.

In the Program: Skills evaluation, rifle fitting, prone and standing work, precision shooting, dry firing ideas, running, roller skiing, hiking, workshops and mental training.

Recreational Activities: Biathlon; shooting & roller skiing, Swimming,

Ages: 11 to 17yrs old

Equipment: .22 cal rifle, ammo (500 rounds), running shoes, water bottle, medication as required, sunglasses and whatever else you need to enjoy yourself during 4 days and 3 nights of training.

Cost: $250 Alberta resident, $250 non-Alberta resident plus Zone4 online registration fee.

Registration :

Limited to 30 athletes. Registration opens June 18th, 2025. If the camp is sold out, priority will be given to Alberta based athletes on the waitlist.

If waitlist has 10 or more athletes the camp may expand to accommodate more athletes.

Participants must be a member of Biathlon Canada through their provincial biathlon association. ABC membership and range passes, if needed, are included.

NOTE: The Biathlon Canada/Alberta memberships expire at the end of March each season and renewal may not be active on zone4 prior to registration. Membership/Renewal is not required prior to registration but is mandatory before the start of the camp due to insurance.
