Either a valid USSS or FIS license is required for all racers.

Besh Cup races 1 & 2 and 5 & 6 for U18 and older are FIS-sanctioned during the 2026 season. Besh Cup races 3 & 4 are USSS-sanctioned only. A FIS license is not required unless you want to score FIS points. If you are unsure if you should register for a FIS license you should check with your coach. If you do not have a USSS license, you will not be able to register for the USSS-only races.

USSS license options are Competitive, General and Non-Scored Athlete licenses. Visit USSS for details. This registration platform is connected to USSS to validate your license is active at the time of registration. You will not be able to register for the races until your license is active by USSS.

The only scored Besh Cup races are the events for U16 and older athletes.

• U16/U18/U20 skiers who want to be considered for Team Alaska must have a valid COMPETITIVE license on race days to earn Team Alaska points for performance in those events.
• Skiers who do not want to be considered, or are not eligible for Team Alaska may opt to get the General or Non-Scored Athlete USSS license.
• General license is for skiers up to age 17 through June 2026.
• Non-Scored Athlete license is for skiers 18 and older (includes skiers who turn 18 by June 2026). These skiers must meet all SafeSport requirements.
• General and Non-Scored Athlete license holders:
• do not score USSS points and are seeded in the last group with other General members and Non-Scored Athletes.
• do not score points to be considered for Team Alaska.
• U08/U10/U12/U14 racers only need a General license.
• U14 can choose to get a Competitive license and for any race they compete with U16 racers, they will receive USSS points to their racer profile.
• This could help in future seeding but the fields are so small, you should save your money for wax.

It is your responsibility to make sure your license is valid at time of the publication of the start list. Racers 18 and older and those who turn 18 during the season who have not met SafeSport requirements will not be included on the start list.

NOTE: Please double check the birthdate field to make sure it is correct! The system auto-fills some elements, but will autofill birthdays as January 1. Please make sure to check that this is accurate!
