ALL NORDIC PROGRAMS BEGIN NOVEMBER 2025

Nordic Ninjas

These programs introduce athletes to competitive skiing in a fun, supportive environment. Sessions focus on the continued building of FUNdamental ski skills, training and fitness through games and activities that challenge each athlete individually. Participants are encouraged to participate in Alberta Cup Ski Races and the Alberta Youth Championships.

Nordic Ninjas 1:

• Ages: 9-12
• Training dates: 1x/week | Saturday 9-11:00
• Fees :$300

Prerequisites - Participants are generally expected to have completed the Jackrabbits program prior to registering for Nordic Ninjas. Exceptions may be made subject to skier evaluation and Coach discretion. New skiers looking for coaching and instruction to learn to ski are encouraged to explore our Recreational Ski Program.

Required Equipment:

- Waxable classic skis, poles, and boots (combi boots are acceptable)

-Skate skis, poles and boots (combi boots are acceptable)

-Hydration pack and bottle

-Glide and grip wax

ALL EQUIPTMENT MUST BE PROPERLY FITTED.

Waxing:

Basic understanding of ski waxing is required. For on snow training sessions, this means either classic or skate skis should be well maintained and waxed appropriately for the skiing conditions. This is a requirement for technical development as well as for performance and safety.

Nordic Ninjas 2:

• Ages: 9-12
• Training Dates: 2x/week | Tuesday 6:00-7:30pm | Saturday 9:00-11:00
• Includes: Coaching and Wax support for up to 2 Alberta Cup Race weekends
• Fee: $600

Club Racers

This is an athlete training program for competitive skiers who want to take their skiing and racing ability to the next level. The Club Racer program builds on the foundations of ski technique established in Jackrabbits and Nordic Ninjas and focuses on refining technical skills in both classic and skate skiing, as well as building the physical and mental strength for racing—and life. Athletes in the Club Racer program are strongly encouraged to participate with XCBC support in all Provincial level Alberta Cup Ski Races to earn points toward Alberta Provincial Ski team qualifications. In addition to Alberta Cup races, Club Racer Athletes can compete in other Regional or National level Ski Races throughout the ski season in conversation with coaches and with 3rd party support coordinated by XCBC.

Club Racers

• Ages: 12+
• Training Dates: 3x/week | Tuesday/ Thursday 6:00-7:00pm | Saturday 9:00-11:00
• Includes: Race support for all 8 Alberta Cups
• Fees: $900

Prerequisites:

Ability:

Capable skiers, able to perform both, classic and skating ski techniques on challenging trails. Maturity to listen to and follow coach instructions and ask questions when appropriate without disrupting the session or interfering with the learning and training of other athletes.

Required Equipment:

-Waxable classic skis, poles, and boots.

-Skate skis, poles, and boots.

-Fitness watch with heart rate and timer.

-Hydration pack and bottle.

-Glide and grip wax.

Equipment must be properly fitted.

General:

Registrants are all subject to evaluation, participation in the Club Racer program is at all times subject to Coach discretion based on athlete ability to meet the demands of the program. New skiers looking for beginner level coaching and instruction to learn to ski will be directed to the Recreational Ski Program.

An XCBC Club membership is mandatory for anyone participating with XCBC. Memberships valid until June 30, 2025. Memberships can be purchased at : https://go.teamsnap.com/forms/477614

Refund Policy:

• A full refund will be issued if registration in cancelled prior to the registration close date and are subject to a $25 administration fee per registrant
• A full refund will be issued if registration in cancelled prior to 48 hours before the first session of the program and are subject to a $25 administration fee per registrant
• A partial refund on 50% of the program fee will be issued if registration is cancelled within 48 hours of the first session of the program and are subject to a $25 administration fee
• After the commencement of the program all other refunds will be made at the discretion of XCBC and are subject to a $25 administration fee per registrant.
• Please ensure you register for the proper age group and category, any changes may be subject to a $25 admin fee and may result in losing your registration.

Cancellation Policy:

XC Bragg Creek reserves the right to cancel classes due to dangerous or extenuating circumstances. No refunds or make up sessions will be made for cancelled classes. Registrants can only attend sessions on their assigned registration day/s, make up sessions for missed classes are not offered.
