Location: The Course will take place in the Viking Centre Day-Lodge at the Mud Lake Trail head on the Paulson Nordic Ski Trails, Castlegar, BC

Course Fee: C/CCBC members $100.00. Non-members $200.

Program Description:

An eight hour course that provides an overview of what a cross country ski competition is all about. The focus is on the duties of minor officials for both ‘Olympic’ style (interval start, mass start, pursuit start, individual sprint, team sprint and relay) and ‘Loppet’ style (mass participation) competitions.

Notes:

• Individuals who take this course with a commitment to volunteer at the 2026 Castlegar Nordic Troll Loppet or Kootenay Cup may arrange to have their course fee covered by CNSC.
• We aim to have some of the Paulson ski trails open for the weekend of the 8th/9th, so participants may plan to bring their skis and a change of clothes!
