ISLAND SWIM 2025

SUNDAY, JULY 27th, 8:30 am

The Island Swim is back for 2025. Come swim Ramsey Lake at Moonlight Beach, along a marked 1-km or 3-km loop. We will also have a 100-metre race for 12 and under kids, starting immediately prior to the main race.

The unofficial Northern Ontario Open-Water Championships and a Sudbury Fitness Challenge Event!

Online registration fee: $40

In-person (race day) registration will be from 7:30 am to 8:00 am

In-person registration fee: $50 (CASH ONLY)

Children's Event : A fun, supervised 100-metre event will be held for Children 12 and under prior to the main race.

100-m registration fee: $5

Your Entry Fee includes:

• Registration for a Lifeguarded-supervised swim
• Swim Cap, which must be worn
• Other prizes and medals
• DILLY BARS

DISTANCES: 1000-m and 3000-m:

Swim the same course as the Sudbury Fitness Challenge's Beaton Classic.

All swimmers MUST ATTEND a pre-race safety briefing and sign a waiver prior to racing.

Wetsuits are allowed but swimmers will ONLY be eligible for draw prizes. Swimmers who wear a wetsuit will not be eligible for any Island Swim awards but WILL be eligible for Fitness Challenge points based on a prorated finish time that compensates for the advantage the wetsuit provides.

Bright swim caps are mandatory. Swim buoys or safety floats are welcome and strongly recommended during the race for better visibility.
