Welcome to Downtown Nordic Jackrabbits registration 2025-2026.

This registration form is for returning and new DN Jackrabbits families who have contacted Kevin Miller at k.a.miller@mts.net and whose kid(s) have been given a spot(s) in one of our jackrabbits groups.

On this registration form you will first purchase a DN Jackrabbits Family Membership for $100, and then provide information about each family member on subsequent pages. All family members -- parents, siblings, etc -- should be part of the family membership, in addition to the kid(s) with the spot(s) in jackrabbits. With a DN Jackrabbits Family Membership, you will receive memberships in the Downtown Nordic club, the Cross Country Ski Association of Manitoba , and Nordiq Canada , and of course your kid(s) will secure their spot(s) in jackrabbits.

There are no extra Downtown Nordic fees or Zone4 transaction fees, but all DN Jackrabbits families must also buy a trail pass for the Windsor Park Nordic Centre ... see windsorparknordic.ca .

Jackrabbits sessions will be held on Monday evenings at the Windsor Park Nordic Centre from 6:30 to 7:30 PM.

Sessions will run from late November (snow dependent) until late March (snow dependent).

We hope to have a special DN Jackrabbits ski outing at Birds Hill Park on a weekend day in January or February, and we also plan to offer a couple of Intro to skate skiing sessions for Group 3 and Group 4 kids who are interested. Kids and coaches who are new to DN Jackrabbits will receive a jackrabbits toque. Photos and video from last season are here .

Group 1

• 4 & 5 year olds
• 6 year olds who are new to cross country skiing

Group 2

• 5 year olds with advanced skill development
• 6 year olds
• 7 year olds

Group 3

• 7 year olds with advanced skill development
• 8 year olds
• 9 year olds

Group 4

• 9 year olds with advanced skill development
• 10 to 14 year olds

Kids can move from one group to another group during the season, based on parental request or coach recommendation.

Parents/caregivers of Group 1 kids must accompany their children during on-snow sessions. (Note that Group 1 kids do not need ski poles.)

Parents/caregivers of Group 2 and Group 3 kids are encouraged to join in during the sessions. You will probably increase your cross country skiing knowledge and skills, and we can use your assistance during some activities.

Kids in all groups need classic skis, not skate skis.

Downtown Nordic Track Attack and Downtown Nordic Race Teams are programs for 10 to 15 year olds who are proficient skiers and want more advanced programs that includes equal emphasis on classic skiing and skate skiing.
