Frozen Thunder is an early season ski track allowing training on snow for high performance athletes as well as public skiing for early season pass holders. Frozen Thunder is financed and operated through a partnership agreement between: Nordiq Canada, Biathlon Canada, Alberta World Cup Society, Biathlon Alberta, Nordiq Alberta and supported by the Canmore Nordic Centre .
To ski during Frozen Thunder's reserved track times, athletes must purchase and wear a bib , as well as purchasing a Canmore Nordic Centre Frozen Thunder Season Trail pass or day pass.
RESERVED TRACK TIMES:
Monday to Sunday: 7:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
November 5 , 7 , and 8 , are scheduled for Biathlon Canada trial races. Only registered event participants will have access to the Track on these dates.
November 13 and 14 are scheduled for Nordiq Thunder races, run by Nordiq Canada. The recreational loop will be open for those not racing.

IMPORTANT: You will need proof of purchase of a Canmore Nordic Center Frozen Thunder season trail pass to purchase an All Access bib during the reserved track time. Please purchase your Frozen Thunder season trail pass first before registering for Frozen Thunder. Then upload your Frozen Thunder pass or pass receipt.
Reserved time periods have high performance athletes training at high speeds and intensity. Users must yield to faster skiers.
