13km Skate Ski

Location: Waskahegan Staging Area, Cooking Lake-Blackfoot Provincial Recreation Area

Parking: Available at Waskahegan Staging Area

Participant Limit: 100 skiers

Enjoy a beautiful 13 km skate ski from the Waskahegan Staging Area to the Meadows Shelter and back. Take in fresh winter air, groomed trails, and the friendly Birkie community in the Cooking Lake–Blackfoot Provincial Recreation Area. Afterward, warm up with a Birkie sausage and hearty soup.

Participants may also choose on the day of the event to extend their 13 km skate ski into a 26 km ski if they’re feeling strong and want an extra challenge.

Secure Your Spot Insurance can be purchased when you sign up for the skate ski event. If your ski event is cancelled due to extreme weather or unacceptable snow conditions, your registration will be transferred to the same event in 2027. You get a full carry-forward credit for one year! See details here.

A processing fee for registration will be added at the payment stage and includes a $2 Zone4 Registration System fee and a 4% credit card fee. As well GST will be

charged.

Ski event changes: Event changes will only be accepted at the Nordic Fair during package pick up. There will be no fee for changing your event.

A $25 admin fee plus the difference in registration cost to change your event.
