What is Ole's Spring Run Off?

Named for our city mascot, Ole Uffda, this 3km/8km run showcases the best of Camrose. Wind through our scenic river valley on a (mostly) paved trail system perfect for runners of all levels.

When does the Spring Run Off take place?

Saturday, May 9, 2026

10am - 8km and 3km mass start

11am - 1km kids run

What are the different courses?

All races start and finish on the field below the Stony Creek Centre in Camrose (5320 39 Avenue).

• 8km course: One significant hill at the ~4.5km mark
• 3km course: Relatively flat - no hills!
• Kids' 1km run: Mostly grass trail. As our mascot Ole Uffda says, "Running is fun!" Ole Uffda's favourite part of the race is high-fiving the kids as they cross the finish line.

Pricing:

• 8km: $40 (until April 17, then price increases to $45)
• 3km: $40 (until April 17, then price increases to $45)
• 1km: $15 (no price increase)

Where and when do I pick up my race package?

Friday, May 8, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Camrose Public Library - 4710 50 Avenue

Saturday, May 9th - 8:30 am to 9:30 am on race day

Stoney Creek Centre - 5320 39 Avenue

What happens to the proceeds from the race?

As in previous years, $500 from the race will be donated to the Camrose Public Library to support its active programming. The money has been used for equipment like running strollers, reading bikes, snowshoes, and more. If you have suggestions for future additions, please let a race organizer or the library know.

Any remaining funds will go to the Camrose Ski Club to be used for trail and equipment maintenance.
