Skills Development Program (Bunnies/Jack Rabbits)

Welcome to Caledonia Nordic’s Skills Development Program!

Winter is better on skis! Our Skills Development Program (SDP) helps kids ages 3–12 build skills, confidence, friendships, and a love of being outside. Great coaching, games, adventure, and plenty of time on snow make learning to ski fun.

Bunny Tots & Bunnies | Ages 3–5

It all starts with play! Young skiers develop balance, coordination, confidence, and basic ski skills while having fun on snow.

Jackrabbits | Ages 6–9

Skiers build their classic and skate skills through games, challenges, adventures, and time exploring the trails with friends.

Jackalopes | Ages 10–12

For kids who love skiing, exploring, and being outside. Jackalopes builds strong ski skills while keeping the focus on adventure, friends, and having fun on snow.

What Comes Next?

Ready to race? Skiers looking for more training and competition can continue into our Track Attack Program .

Looking for more adventure? New this season, our Nordic Adventure Program gives skiers ages 13+ another way to keep skiing, exploring, building fitness, and having fun with friends—without the focus on racing.

What makes SDP special is the people. Our amazing volunteer coaches, families, and young skiers create a welcoming community where kids can learn, make friends, challenge themselves, and discover just how much fun winter can be.
