TECK REGIONAL SNOW CAMP OKANAGAN
Friday, December 4 – Sunday, 6, 2026
This is an on-snow camp for athletes who reside in the Okanagan region. This year all athletes will be accommodated at the Firelight Lodge or Snowbird Lodge, Silver Star Mountain Resort, in units of 2 to 6 people. Group accommodation assignments will be organized by club and age level, unless otherwise noted. This weekend is also Silver Star’s Light Up weekend, and an evening event for camp participants will be planned around it. The On Snow Parade offers a perfect way to celebrate the start of winter on the hill.

Please eat dinner before you arrive on Friday. The following meals (for all athletes and coaches) will be provided:
o Friday night snack
o Saturday – lunch at SNLC
o Saturday – catered dinner at SNLC
o Sunday – small road snack
All athletes are responsible for bringing their own breakfast food, which they will prepare and eat in their accommodation. They should also bring two or three pocket-sized snacks for both Saturday and Sunday. Athletes will have a chaperone for supervision, but they should be reasonably independent and able to organize their gear, get adequate rest, and prepare their morning fuel with only minimal assistance.

Camp Schedule:
Start: Athletes and coaches need to check in at Firelight Lodge or Snowbird Lodge (your assignment to be confirmed, front desk) by 6pm on Friday, December 4 th , 2026.
Please eat supper before you arrive
End : Sunday December 6 th at 12pm. Pick-up for all athletes is at Sovereign Lake Nordic Club.
The camp has a full participation policy. The participants are expected to arrive at 6 pm on Friday, December 4 th , and stay until the camp ends at 12pm on Sunday, December 6 th . Activities at this camp will include on-snow training, a strength session, team building activities and an activity night.
Registration:
Please confirm your attendance by registering on Zone 4. Registration closes at noon on Sunday, November 1 st , 2026. (Accommodation needs to be confirmed by November 4 th , 2026).
All athletes will be accommodated at Firelight Lodge or Snowbird Lodge, in units of 2 to 6 people. Groups will be organized by club and age level, unless otherwise noted. An email will go out confirming athletes’ assignment for accommodations.
Camp Fees:
For athletes, all costs are pooled costs for the camp and shared by all athletes to ensure inclusive options for all to participate.
The camp fee will be $295. This includes accommodations, coaching support, administration, lunch, a catered dinner, as well as passes to the Sovereign Lake Nordic Centre for both Saturday and Sunday, and snacks.
Call For Volunteers:
To make the camp run smoothly and keep costs low we are looking for volunteers to:
· Assist with coaching on both days. Accommodation, lunch, and a catered dinner will be provided. (Coaches must have minimum NCCP Community Coach 'training' and have an up-to-date Criminal Record Check).
· Drive athletes between the Sovereign Lake Nordic Centre and Firelight Lodge/Snowbird Lodge on Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday.
· Chaperones athlete groups to help with athlete needs. Stay overnight and provide supervision in a shared adult accommodation at Firelight Lodge and Snowbird Lodge on the Friday and Saturday nights, supervising athlete cohorts.
· Help with meals service Saturday.

Coaches and chaperones, we will also need you to fill out Zone4 registration form and check on the form if you already have a Sovereign Lake Nordic Centre ski pass in order to assist us with camp planning/accommodation assignment.
Note that all coaches/parent helpers/chaperones/drivers need to be NCCP certified (Coaches only) and have an up-to-date Criminal Record Check with CCBC) and completed SafeSport.

We will be sending out an agenda as well as more information one week prior to the camp.
Packing List:
All athletes will be accommodated at either Firelight Lodge or Snowbird Lodge in units housing 2 to 6 people. Bedding will be provided; however, some athletes may be required to share a queen- or king-sized bed. If you would prefer not to share a bed, please bring a sleeping mat and sleeping bag for your own use.
